After singing a soulful “Somebody To Love ” By Queen Todrick Hall had to once again face the judges here were their comments:
Randy–”Todrick is BACK!– You proved you can really sing! That was one of the best vocals I’ve heard all night, all the last couple of weeks by a man!!”
Ellen- Thought he was a brave, brave man and enjoyed that he made it sound like a gospel song. “Man you’re brave! and you did a good job!”
Kara- “you can’t listen to that and say that wasn’t good sining!”
Simon-said it was good in parts, not all the way through and feels that Todrick has shown us tonight that he is a broadway singer. However having said that, he was very enterating and it may have saved him!
Vote for Todrick!! Keep him in the top 12~~ his number is 1-866-idols-07!

In order to prove to Simon he’s not just ’some dancer trying to sing’ Todrick toned down his performance tonight and did his own take on Tina Turner’s “What’s love go to do with it”. It was a much more
Randy started the comments and said there’s a reason he’s here because he has one of the best voices in the competition. He loved the end of the song but felt the many changes that were made to the song were just to many. He wasn’t totally loving the song, he wants to see Todrick just sing a great song without all the changes.
Ellen said she would never say-just sing- she wants him to sing and dance. Dancing is part of him and he should use that in his performance. She felt overall it wasn’t the right song chioce.
Kara agreed with Ellen and told him to enjoy the song and move because that shows his personality. She misses the Todrick they saw at the first audtion.
Simon was even harsher and told him to dance and not sing because it was awful. The other judges all jumped in to his defense and told Todrick it wasn’t “that” bad.

Todrick sang Kelly Clarkson’s hit “Since You’ve Been Gone” tonight to start the guys on American Idol. He did a huge change on the arrangment and the judges were not big fans of it. They thought he took the song to far. He has some serious talent though and the audience really enjoyed him. We have to vote for him to keep him around to show the judges what he’s made of!
Through all the drama and stress of hollywood week Todrick shines and makes Idols top 24.
